This is an original project I executed for my adult son, Steven. Let’s say he is over 50 in age <G>

Steve is a professional grade percussionist and has been playing drums since he was about 5 years old. (I have pictures!) I might easily say drummer is his alter-ego. It’s not his actual career, but he is about as good and professional as it takes to make it a full time career. Still very active.

So a clock drum was something I could certainly design and gift to Steven, and I was sure he would appreciate.

All parts are 3D FDM printed except for the hands and clock movement.

I have of course seen many of Steve’s drums and all that goes with a full trap set. But I did study a few pictures to form a plan on how to build this drum-clock.

It’s is a totally free-lanced “concept” and not an exact replica of any particular make or brand-name. However the 10 clamps are a signature of a quality drum. Just for show here, as that is not an actual drum head.

Size is about 90mm deep and 320mm diameter, not including the clamps

All plastic material is PLA, PollyLactic Acid which is eco-friendly and biodegradable if ever tossed away. Of course I don’t expect that to happen in my lifetime!
